
Chad Moore – PE, CxA, LEED AP
Education // M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering – Louisiana State University
Experience // Chad Moore has over 15 years of commercial and industrial HVAC system and controls design experience. He is a principal at HPBS, Inc – providing consulting engineering services that specializes in high-performance building design, energy management and commissioning.
Moore is a Member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Currently he is the Vice Chair of ASHRAE Technical Committee 1.4, “Control Theory and Applications”. He is the ASHRAE Region VII Regional Vice-Chair of the Chapter Technology Transfer Committee.
More recently, Chad has developed expertise in building systems commissioning, by providing these services in several LEED and non LEED pursuing projects across the US and internationally.
With his unique combination of HVAC system design, control system design, energy conservation, and commissioning experience along with his practical, hands-on design/build experience, Chad Moore brings a unique perspective to our Clients’ projects.

Patrik Lazzari – BECx, LEED AP BD+C
Education // M.Sc. in Building Technology with emphasis on Indoor Environmental Quality – University of Borås, Sweden
Experience // Patrik has over twelve years of practical experience in the construction industry focusing on building science and building envelope technology. Brought up in Italy and educated in Sweden he has developed a keen sense of the durability aspect of buildings. Patrik’s expertise ranges from preventing moisture related problems in new construction, building envelope diagnostics and analysis, forensic investigations, EIFS evaluations and inspections, and building enclosure quality management during construction. His experience is amended with his expertise in green building and sustainable design practices with a special focus on the LEED Green Building Rating System. Patrik has actively participated in over 40 LEED projects in the USA, Italy and Mexico. Drawing from this experience, he has created and set up numerous training programs and systems that focus on green building practices and the LEED Accreditation Exam.
His achievements in the Green Building field have been highlighted in many industry magazines and articles and he has been a speaker on numerous industry conferences and events. Of special interest is his leadership and involvement in attaining the first LEED Gold certified building in Mississippi, one of the largest LEED Certified industrial projects in the US, and the largest LEED for Homes project in the US.

Ryan Williams
Education // B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering – Mississippi State University
Experience // Ryan Williams is a mechanical engineer with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University. He has 3 years of ultra premium residential refrigeration design experience. Additionally, Ryan has 4 years of hybrid vehicle design experience where he became interested in energy efficiency and the global impact of antiquated technologies. He is a Mechanical Engineer at HPBS, providing consulting engineering services that specialize in high-performance building design and commissioning.
Williams has developed expertise in building systems commissioning and whole building energy modeling, by providing these services in several LEED certified and non- LEED Certified buildings across the United States and internationally.
With his unique combination of refrigeration system design, energy conservation, and commissioning expertise, along with his practical experience, Ryan is a great addition to our Team.
